Richard Flowers has over 30 years of experience in leadership in healthcare, starting at Baptist Hospital in 1990, finishing as the business office leader for the home health agency.
He began his career in the senior living industry in 1995 as financial controller of Franciscan Healthcare Center and obtained his long-term care administrator’s license in 1997.
Richard’s first administrator role was with Helmwood Healthcare, an assisted living and nursing facility, in 1998 early in the days of continuing care retirement communities and when assisted living was just beginning in Kentucky.
He returned to Louisville in 1999 and has experience in for-profit and not-for-profit senior living communities.
He served on the Board at Kentucky Senior Living Association on committees at the Kentucky Association of Healthcare Facilities.
He currently serves as the vice president of the Kentucky chapter of the American College of Healthcare Administrators.
Richard has a passion for the elderly and this stemmed from his love for his grandparents and parents.
He sees Senior Transition Advocates as a ministry to continue to serve seniors and help them understand options for assisted living and memory care in and around Louisville.
Richard looks forward to the opportunity to work with seniors and their families through this time and help find the best options to meet their needs.
